The Two of Us

Coping with the loss.
Twice!
A tear, despair, questions with no answers. Clearing of the throat,
The two us, we must go on.

Your eyes are watchful, your ears alert
Is little sister well?

My heart is hungry for comfort, yours starving to nourish
The two of us,we must go on.

one pushing another pulling
one running, the other carrying

sickness, disease, and terror
waiting, wondering has darkness passed?
The two of us, we must go on

Come love and marriage
take our children in your carriage
Twice!

Is little sister well?

Old age. Despair. Gone is the dignity, fleeting the strength, where is the honor of old men? What will we do? Is his life truly in our hands? Or is Gods hand over us to cover the man, our father. Into your hands Lord we put his fragile life, and so the two of us, we must go on
